ESRC Doctoral Studentship at The Open University
Locational Dynamics of the UK Genomics Industry
Applications are invited for an ESRC funded doctoral studentship linked to
the ESRC Centre for Social and Economic Research on Innovation in Genomics
(INNOGEN).
The project will focus on the relationship between R&D institutions and
the genomics/biotechnology industry and whether clusters have advantages
in the development of the genomics industry. A willingness to use
quantitative and qualitative methods is desirable.
The studentship will start on 1st January or as soon as possible
thereafter and is open to UK and EU candidates. Candidates should have a
good degree (at least 2:1) in a relevant social science, scientific or
technical field and an interest in interdisciplinary investigation.
