An exciting job opportunity has arisen at the Science Museum in London.
JOB TITLE/GRADE:
Education Internet Resources Developer MG4
12 month contract
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will be required to develop innovative web-based
science content and science research projects, and assess work for
accreditation to support learning for NotSchool a web community for
school-aged pupils who are not able to attend school for various reasons;
develop web and print resources to support educational visits to the
Museum's Challenge of Materials gallery; organise and maintain a database of
websites developed by schools for the STEM Project and ensure this is used
by teachers planning visits to the Museum; carry out general activities such
as meeting and greeting schools arriving at the Museum, helping with holiday
events etc. to ensure smooth and effective provision for both educational
and family visitors to the Museum.
The successful candidate should have: a degree in science; teaching
qualification or other relevant educational experience; good IT skills
including ability to create, edit and upload webpages; experience of
communicating science effectively and creatively to a range of audiences;
and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
