One of the greatest challenges to organisations developing and using e-
learning systems is how to ensure that the systems and their content are
equally accessible to all. There is growing use of technology to deliver
stimulating and rewarding learning in educational institutions, the
workplace and in self-study. However, the pressure is also on to provide
fair and equal access and inclusion to these systems, pressure from the
users themselves, the learning and training providers and most recently the
legislators.
We are pleased to announce an important new event looking at the practical
aspects of ensuring that e-learning systems and their digital content meet
the needs of ALL learners.
The challenge is a daunting one. The developers of the systems must
recognise, accommodate and respond to the demands of learners, providers,
and legislators alike; whilst maintaining the flexibility, quality and
reward that that is sought for e-learning.
This conference provides a forum for examining the process by which that
challenge will be met. This will be accomplished by bringing together
representatives from the developers, providers and learners’ groups to
review progress to date, best practise and ideas for the future. Important
speakers from education, industry and the learner community have already
agreed to contribute, providing experience, insight and guidance in the
subject. Attached is the current programme for this exciting event or see
our web-site for speakers and booking details - www.access2elearning.co.uk.
