I take the lead for the delivery of mandatory Equality & Diversity Awareness
sessions for staff in the University and for the development of the
programme.
We have trained well over half of our staff to date and have embedded E&D
within the induction process. However I am about to review and update the
programme to incorporate feedback from participants and changes in
legislation. I would be happy to let you have a copy of the programme when
it is updated.
In addition I am also working to develop a paper package and website to
facilitate E&D awareness for those staff who do not normally attend our
standard induction and for students to access.
You may wish to speak with Lynn Percy, Personnel Manager, as she is our lead
for a team of Harassment Advisers and I'm sure she brief you on her

my e-mail. I am the newly appointed Equality Training officer at
Loughborough University. I am part of the Professional Development team.
My main remit is providing training on the Race Relations Amendment Act,
Harassment and Bullying and looking at Race in the curriculum. This could
include Religion or Belief. Does your role involve Equality Training? Are
