We believe that a very small number of lists contain genuine desires to
receive email. These are usually expensive, and from ABC controlled
publications, special interest groups, trade associations etc. And they do
not include the entire list population. Otherwise organisations like mardev
or silicon.com, who "host" messages inside their own emails are reputable
and valid. In our view all other lists are, at best, scary, and usually
illegal.
We have a profound belief in Permission Based Marketing, and have had this
long before the regulations came in. Put simply, it is a privilege, not a
right, to appear in an inbox. And the inbox owner has an absolute right to
control what arrives and does not arrive. Logic says that it only makes
sense to market to the willing! It saves money and keeps reputations intact
