Three posts are available within the Department of Continuing Education, Lancaster University
For each post applicants should pay particular attention to the person specification and submit a CV and a personal statement which provide evidence of the extent to which they can meet the essential and desirable qualities required for the post.
Assignments and Validation Secretary (£11,612 - £13,547 pa)
Working within the Departmental team providing credit-bearing programmes the successful applicant will support the administration of student assessment, processing students' work for assessment on a day to day basis, and supporting the Examinations Officer in organising and recording meetings and Examination Boards.
Interview date: Tuesday 13 January
Programmes Clerical Officer (£11,612 - £13,547 pa)
Working with the Departmental team providing courses across the region the successful applicant will provide reception and clerical support for the Department's active Reception Office, and will be responsible for the storage, distribution and return of audio visual equipment and for supporting students with special needs.
Interview date: Tuesday 20 January
Applicants for the above posts should have good organisational, communication and information technology skills (Microsoft Office) and be able to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy. The closing date for these posts is Friday 12 December
Distance and Flexible Learning Programme Co-ordinator (£18,893 - £21,010 pa pro rate)
The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of Distance Learning Programmes, with a particular remit to support and develop existing courses and to enhance student and tutor communications. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the needs of adult learners studying at a distance and at least three year's work experience demonstrating the capacity to achieve work objectives. S/he will be a self-starter, able to work well within a team, have excellent organisational and communication skills and be fluent in the use of IT (word processing, database, use of the Internet). Ability in web page writing would be desirable. This is a 60% post
