Dear Colleague,
Please find below the programme and application form for the fourth seminar
in the very successful ESRC seminar series on Lifelong Learning, Rurality
and Regeneration.
The seminar series was developed by the Universities Association for
Continuing Education [UACE] Rural Network to explore education and social
policy from the standpoint of its relevance to social change and
regeneration in rural contexts. It provides an opportunity to exchange
ideas and findings between researchers into rurality from various academic
disciplines and lifelong learning practitioners, policy makers and
community representatives with stakes in Britain’s rural areas.
The focus of this fourth seminar is social inclusion and exclusion, both in
terms of research into the way gender and ethnic identities are lived and
researched in rural contexts and the evaluation of how successfully rural
lifelong learning projects support new forms of social inclusion.
Please contact me or Dr Rebecca O'Rourke ([log in to unmask]) if you would
like any further information.
With best wishes,
Sue Oosthuizen
