www.pharmacy2u.co.uk have been involved with a UK Department of Health trial
in facilitating electronic requests of repeat prescriptions. The patient
makes a request via telephone or the Internet, and electronic approval is
sought from the patient's doctor, who authorises the prescription via the
use of a digital signature. Once approved the medication is posted to the
patient.
