This post requires an experienced and enthusiastic person to review,
develop and strengthen a wide archaeology programme, which offers courses
from introductory to post-Diploma level. You will co-ordinate the work of a
large panel of part-time lecturers, contribute teaching and conduct related
research. Relevant practical experience in fieldwork, excavation and finds
handling would be advantageous.
Applicants should have a PhD (or be close to completing) or equivalent, in
a relevant area; a proven research record or evidence of potential; with
high academic competence, initiative and networking skills. Administrative,
managerial and teaching experience, preferably in continuing education, is
essential.
Salary range: £24,325 to £35,813 pa inc depending on qualifications and
experience.

Junior Research Fellow/Lecturer in IT Applications
The Fellowship is University-funded for three years, during which you will
concentrate on IT applications in historical and/or archaeological
research. Thereafter it is an indefinite lectureship with the normal range
of research, teaching and administration.(with effect from 1 September
2003).
