As a final word on this, it occured to me that you might do all this
research and produce a substantial document at the end of the project, with
all sorts of valuable conclusions about the integration of disabled children
into school playgrounds - only to have somebody say, "How do you know the
children weren't on their best behaviour because the cameras were there?"
It would be relatively easy to answer that concern by building into the
programme: days with video cameras and days without video cameras. If there
is no evidence that the children behave differently from one day to the
next, then the concern is addressed - a sort of triangulation.
