Dear Gertrud
Antiguan poet Donald McDonald produced a volume of First World War verse -
'Songs of an Islander' (1918). Walter Roberts was a Jamaican war
correspondent in France during WW1 - 'Pierrot Wounded' (1919) was his first
collection of verse. I am sure that there are many Caribbean writers who
focused on the wars - an initial suggestion would be to consult an anthology
such as Burnett (1986), and look at the authors' notes.
Best wishes
David
