Curriculum Change in the UK'.

GLAADH is a three-year project created to support the development of
teaching and learning strategies aimed at creating a more culturally diverse
Art, Architecture and Design History curriculum. Since its inception GLAADH
has been providing resources and information as well as supporting 10
learning and teaching Initiatives in the UK which are striving for change.
GLAADH Initiatives have taken place at Aberdeen/St. Andrews/Glasgow, Anglia
Polytechnic, Birkbeck, Central England, DeMontfort, Edinburgh, Kingston,
Manchester, Plymouth and Sheffield Hallam.
The Conference will bring together subject specialists with lecturers to
share information and discuss best practice in the field. Distinguished
invitees including Professor Donald Preziosi, University of California at
Los Angeles and Dr. Kobena Mercer, Middlesex University will initiate the
debates leading onto concurrent sessions in which representatives from the
10 GLAADH Initiatives will discuss the strategies developed and project
outcomes.
Attendance at the Conference will be free of charge to one representative
from the Universities that offer Art, Design and Architecture History
degrees. GLAADH will cover travel and B&B accommodation but spaces are
limited. The deadline for registration is Monday 18 August. For further
