that's rubbish. it's impossible to read a poem (or anything else, for that
matter) without theory, because the abrogation of 'theory` is itself a
theoretical position. those who argue that their readings are 'free from`
(or 'untainted by`, if you prefer) ideology are themselves espousing a
(rather dogmatic) ideological position.
