It's sort of my fault that Ron had to go to babelfish (though the
results are wierdly intresting): I had promised to translate the piece
for PORES but with everything else that has gone on these last few
months I have not yet finished that job. But should do so in a couple
weeks. Habib Tengour is an excellent poet & prose writer, cf. his
chapbook _Emperdokles' Sandals_ (from Duration Press; transl. by
yourstruly) & the excerpt from his great prose narrative _The Old Man
of the Mountain_ in my 4x1 (out early this year from Inconumdrum
Press). My apologies to Will & co. for the lateness... right now
correcting proofs of another interesting book on Islam & Islamic
culture, namely Abdelwahab Meddeb's _The Malady of Islam_ which will be
out from Basic books in the US & from a UK publisher simultaneously in
early summer.
Pierre
ps. had signed off from Brit-poets fro some moths -- too busy, but
happy to be back on.
