I am installing Blackboard for the very first time and have the same
problem. Do I have to uninstall Blackboard and Java and re-install Java
to a path with no spaces, or can I get away with just re-installing
Java? Any help appreciated.

Thanks very much to everyone who has responded. bb-tomcat had not
started,
it did not like the spaces in the file path to JDK. We also then had
to
reinstall the full version of SDK as other things were falling over -
Blackboard gave us a URL to the wrong version...
Thanks
Kathryn
