Sorry Kate, that's not the way it works any more. You can only guest access
on things if guest access overall is turned on. Not ideal. The way I used to
do it was to have an account which was essentially an ordinary account,
called guest, which I then enrolled in whichever courses you want it to be
able to see. Then your staff can just enroll it if they want it. Be warned
the two differences are that it will expect an email address (though if you
create a batch file of 1 you can give it a null value) and it won't have the
default guest setting of not being able to see discussion boards.

Subject: Guest Access and Instructors
Hi
This is a basic question and I'm sure that it's very straightforward, but I
just can't seem to find the appropriate option.
We have disabled open guest access on Bb6 (Basic) but would still like to
use guest access to allow our own Blackboard users to be able to see
courses they aren't registered for.
As an administrator I can do this fine, but I would like to be able to let
individual instructors turn it on and off themselves. However, at present
the option for Guest Access in the instructor Control Panel is not an
active link.
I can't work out where to go to switch this option on - does anyone have
any ideas?
Thanks in advance
