Just wondering what policies institutions have in place with regard to
student passwords, particularly in terms of password aging and whether
students are forced to change their passwords after a set number of days?
A 60 day expiry on passwords was enforced during the summer following a
management directive and we are now finding that a number of students
don’t visit our campuses or logon to the network at all.
They actually use Blackboard and Email from home or work and as both of
these systems authenticate against the network they are finding they can’t
logon when their password expires.
Any suggestions towards dealing with this problem would also be welcomed?
