Just listening to the final round of a radio general knowledge quiz
programme ('Brain of Britain') late on Saturday evening. And up comes the
question "Biomimetics as a recognised scientific discipline in its own right
is only about 10 years old. With what does it concern itself?". None of
the contenstants could answer The definition which was given was:
"The science and technology of deriving useful processes, materials and
structures from the study of natural parallels".
Quite good, I thought.
