Dear Colleagues,
I can add about the wooden cars. After the Second World War the very
powerful cargo trucks of MAZ brand in the Soviet Union were provided with
wooden (partly even of ply-wood) cabin. And most of other trucks (e.g. of
GAZ brand) had wooden bodies (I mean load container). It seems to me that
the variety of different timber brands is so high, that it could and should
be used in industry wider. This material is renewable and in many senses is
very safe.
