Simon
we dug a couple of joysticks out of playstation handsets for use in other places. Incredibly cheap. PS2 has proportional ones as well.

Yes, thanks, there are also a couple of other SN ones (e.g. Mini
Joystick from photon technologies) . I am more looking for a normal
games joystick that happens to be small!

I'm sure you will be aware of the Tash 'mini' joystick in the QED
catalogue (code 5020). I have also been looking for a small joystick as
an interface device for a child with CP. I was disappointed that the QED
device is not physically smaller.
