I'm currently studying the MScin Assistive Technology at Kings College
London which covers disability, technological solutions and the law.
I'm very interested in doing a project on the Developing World and how
to set up frameworks for supporting disabled people and the equipment
that they could use. I've worked with Prentke Romich Company's
Communication Devices for about 3 years and Alternative Computer Access
for another three years.
I wondered if anyone had any information on the sort of projects that
are support with other organisations or are thinking of developing
yourself? I'd be very grateful for any information!
I'd also be very interested if anyone has any information about any
studies on the reliability issues of Dedicated Communication Devices
versus their Computer-based counterparts.
Thanks,
Aidan Parr.
