Copyright Directive. Tim Padfield, Public Records Office.

11:30AM Design and Artists Copyright Society. John Robinson, Head of
Collective Licensing and Annabelle Shaw, Licensing Officer, DACS

12:15AM DACS Discussion/Feedback session. Chaired by Barbara Stratton,
Libraries & Archives Copyright Alliance

12:45PM Lunch
                Tours of the SOAS Library, including the Chinese Prints &
Rubbings Collection, will take place during lunch.

2:00PM          The ERA Licensing Scheme in the Digital Age. Helen
Nicholson, Chief Executive, Educational Recording Agency.

2:45PM          Public Access to Art: Museums, Images and Copyright. Naomi

COPYRIGHT GUIDELINES

An ARLIS Visual Resources Committee Seminar for Art Librarians and other Art
College and Museum Professionals concerned with copyright as it relates to
artistic & literary works.

Date & Time:            Tuesday 24th June 2003, 10.00am to 4.30pm.

Venue:                  School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS),
Thornhaugh St, Russell

The day will provide an overview of copyright. Themes covered will include
copyright as it relates to artistic and literary works, the impact of the
new EC Copyright Directive on libraries, and copyright relating to
museum/object collections.  Speakers will include: 
        *       Tim Padfield, Copyright Officer, Curator of Photographs,
Secretary of the Lord Chancellor's Advisory Council on National Records and
Chair of the Libraries Archives & Archives Copyright Alliance
        *       Naomi Korn, Tate Copyright Officer
        *       Annabelle Shaw, Licensing Officer at DACS (Design & Artists
Copyright Society) and John Robinson, Head of Collective Licensing, DACS
(Design & Artists Copyright Society).
        *       Helen Nicholson, Chief Executive at the Education Recording
Agency (ERA)
