An exploration of how we possibly interpret the written, printed, drawn
or manipulated page into sound, whether that sound is within our heads,
aural or through other physical means and applications. How can the
visual become audible?

A look at the way imagery and text can be used, has been used and can be
integrated to create interference, subversion and/or corruption within
the visuality of the page/image/message.

Symposia curated by Chris Taylor, Fine Art Co-ordinator, School of Fine
Art, History of Art & Cultural Studies, University of Leeds.
Organised in collaboration with Denise Raine, Librarian, Henry Moore
Institute, the 3 symposia are part of a 2 year Regional Arts Lottery
Project grant, 'Contemporary Artists' Books & Related Events' funded by
Arts Council, Yorkshire and supported by Dean Clough Ltd.
The symposia will have a maximum audience of 30 people at each event.
