Department of Drama: Theatre, Film, Television
Located in the Department of Drama, the University's Theatre Collection is
an internationally renowned research centre, a fully registered museum and
the largest theatre archive outside of London. It is primarily used to
support research into British theatre history and is an essential academic
and cultural resource for a wide range of users.
You will assist in the day to day running and development of the Theatre
Collection. Core tasks include archival duties as well as reading room,
enquiry services and outreach activities. Particular emphasis will be on
the management of the library, dissemination of information and development
of the web site. You should have a post graduate archives qualification (or
equivalent) and a commitment to widening access to archives through the use
of digital technologies. The post involves day to day contact with a wide
range of users and you should have excellent IT, communication and
interpersonal skills. A knowledge of theatre, its history and terminology
would be an advantage.
Grade : Grade 2
Salary : £21,125
