PUBLIC SERVICES QUALITY GROUP FOR ARCHIVES AND LOCAL STUDIES ANNUAL QUALITY
FORUM
The Public Services Quality Group's eighth annual Quality Forum for
archivists and allied professionals will be held at The National Archives,
Kew on Thursday 6 November 2003.
This year's theme is "Our Wider Audiences". We will focus on our sector's
relationship with users outside the reading room. What pressures arise from
active interpretation and outreach
programmes? What is being done? Are the expectations of Resource and DCMS
realistic?
In the afternoon, we will bring everyone up to date with PSQG's work this
year: there is much to report on Performance indicators, statistics and the
Access standard. As usual, our concern is with practical applications,
learning from each other and sharing successes and failures.
Speakers / sessions will include:

New audiences and new services at The National Archives
