The current issue of Arc Recruitment contains an advert for a fixed term post at the University of Nottingham for an Assistant Conservator.
This is a readvertisement, following a change in salary scale as the result of a recent job evaluation exercise.
The post is now advertised on the University's Technical Level 3 Grade,
£16,942 - £20,229 p.a. (Salary can progress to £24,155 p.a., subject to performance)
The postholder's primary role will be to provide support for the Archdeaconry Project, a Heritage Lottery Fund programme which is undertaking the conservation and cataloguing of 17th Century papers in the Archdeaconry of Nottingham archive. This two-year project has been underway since mid-2002.
Candidates should preferably have the Society of Archivists qualification in archive conservation, or equivalent expertise.
