This is just a reminder that the closing date for responses to our public
consultation paper is getting closer. It is just two weeks away, on Friday
21 November. So, if you have not yet sent your comments, please set aside
some time in the next couple of weeks to do so.
Just to remind you, the National Archives issued a public consultation paper
PROPOSED NATIONAL RECORDS AND ARCHIVES LEGISLATION on 28 August. The paper
sets out proposals to change the current legislative provision for records
management and archives. The paper is on our website and here is a link:
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/news/consultation_intro.htm
You will find there an emailable comments form as well as the paper itself
so do please use it. We look forward to hearing your views. Also, I want to
be able to count the responses as well as read them!
