I am trying to finalise a retention schedule for our pharmacy production
records and there seems very llittle definitive guidance out there. The DoH
bible on retention (HSC 1999/053) is silent and an article in Hospital
Pharmacist from May 2003 gives only qualified guidance.
With potential liability extending to 28 years for paediatric cases, we need
to build up a retention schedule based on risk assessment, and for that it
would be very helpful to know what other people do - both pharmaceutical
companies and other hospitals.
Any information gratefully received - I'll post a summary to the list
