Perhaps people hesitate to comment in the absence of more information
than is available in the EADT report. However, logic suggests that if
you put together a number of services under the 'heritage' umbrella that
some 'adjustments' at a senior level will eventually be necessary.

It would be nice if we could even get some information about the Essex
situation. The website suggests that the public service on archives will
continue. Who will staff it and in what context. I presume that all
their investment in the new building etc will not be abandoned.
