Records Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified professional to fill
our new permanent post of Records Manager. Based within Information
Services, the successful candidate will work closely with the College
Archivist, Senior Managers and staff at all levels to ensure a streamlined
21st century approach to the management of paper and electronic records.
The job will involve working towards the development and management of a
records management programme for the College, ensuring adherence to our
legal and statutory obligations, including the Data Protection Act 1998 and
the Freedom of Information Act 2000. You will work with staff across the
College to ensure compliance with best practice and relevant standards for
the creation, retention and destruction of records, and also fulfil the role
of College Data Protection Officer.
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual possessing the skills
to implement institutional change with regard to recordkeeping at all
levels. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others
to achieve objectives will also be characteristic of the successful
candidate. Ideally you will be a qualified Records Manager with at least 2
years experience, who is able to demonstrate an up-to-date approach to new
developments. However, applications from recently qualified individuals
will be welcomed for whom a training programme will be available.
Salary will be dependent on experience; up to £29,473 if you have at least 2
years post-qualification experience or up to £22,445 if you are newly
qualified.
