Dear Archives Hub User
The Tavistock Institute has recently been commissioned to undertake an
evaluation of the Archives Hub (www.archiveshub.ac.uk) which is aimed at
improving the web service
for users. An important element of this evaluation is to assess the impacts,
benefits and value of the service to its users (e.g. in terms of independent
research, archive usage, teaching or professional development.)
We are keen to conduct telephone based interviews with user volunteers in
order to explore these issues. We are particularly interested in talking to
users for whom the Hub has had real benefits and impacts. We would encourage
responses from the academic, postgraduate, recreational and the independent
professional sector user as well as librarians and archivists.
Each telephone interview will be approximately 15 minutes in duration and
you will be sent a gift of a ten pound book token or similar after
successful completion.
We plan to conduct interviews in June 2003. If you would like to participate
please send an email to Shaheen Barkat (mailto:[log in to unmask])
with
details of your name and address, position and subject specialism (if any)
and direct telephone number. Please also tell us the preferred working-day
time you would like to be called by us (please include, if necessary, the
international dialling code and time zone details if you are outside of the
UK).
Thank you for your help. We look forward to talking to you in due course.
