Hi, this is pretty peripheral to this list, I hope noone minds me posting
this question, but I am hoping someone can help me get in touch with a
researcher in Canada (Toronto?) who was working on historic root cellars
in that country. At her request, I took a sample of wood from the
ridgepole of the root cellar on my grandparents' ranch in the Okanagan
Valley, British Columbia---and then couldn't find her address to mail it
to. Life has been chaotic---multiple moves, etc.---but here is this
sample, labeled Root Cellar, 9/95, which has been sealed in a small
ziplock bag all this time. I would love to make it available if someone
could still use it. It is a sample probably sufficient for speciation
only (it has about 20 growth rings). I also at that time sketched the
construction of the root cellar, but that drawing is buried
somewhere---if I hear that someone can still use the information, I'll
dig it out.
