Social Science beyond Bourdieu
Docklands campus, University of East London, June 19-20, 2003.
This is the first major English conference on Bourdieu since his death in
2002. 40 paper contributions will enable participants to discuss the many
aspects of Bourdieu's work across disciplines in the social sciences.
Speakers - including Daniel Bertaux, Craig Calhoun, Nick Garnham, Angela
McRobbie, Jean-Claude Passeron, Derek Robbins and Maria Shevtsova - will
consider the implications of the various dimensions of Bourdieu's
achievement for the future development of social science.
