Monday 31st March and Tuesday 1st April 2003
Following highly successful workshops at, most recently, Manchester and Cambridge,
there will be a workshop at Henderson Hall, University of Newcastle on the 31st March
and 1st April. Details of talks and posters given at previous meetings can be found at {
HYPERLINK "http://www.ebi.ac.uk/goldman-srv/masamb/" }www.ebi.ac.uk/goldman-
srv/masamb/. We anticipate that this workshop will cover similar areas and new areas of
current interest. The meeting will start at coffee time on the Monday morning and
finish after tea on the Tuesday. Talks will probably last about 30 minutes including time
for discussion. There will be a poster session with wine early evening on the Monday.
Henderson Hall is situated in the east of the city and is easily reached from the
motorway (A1M), central railway station or airport. The meeting will be held entirely at
the hall. Bar facilities will be available on the Monday evening, after the Conference
dinner.
There will be a charge of 85 pounds for the whole meeting including lunch on the
Monday and Tuesday, poster session/wine reception, conference dinner with wine on
the Monday, bed and breakfast on the Monday night and tea & coffee during the
meeting. The cost without accommodation will be 60 pounds. The cost for full-time
students will be 50 pounds with accommodation and 40 pounds without. Additional
nights accommodation before and after the meeting is available, but early booking is
recommended for those requiring accommodation on the Tuesday due to limited
availability on that date. All accommodation will be en suite. For those arriving on the
Sunday, we intend to organise a short trip of the sites of Newcastle, including the
Millennium bridge, followed by dinner in the city.
If you would like to attend the workshop, please complete the application form (see {
HYPERLINK "http://www.mas.ncl.ac.uk/masamb/" }www.mas.ncl.ac.uk/masamb/) and
return it to me by Friday February 7th 2003. Please enclose a cheque made payable
to the ‘University of Newcastle’. Please pass on details of this workshop to any
colleagues or students who might be interested.
