This post is funded by the Scottish Executive Health Department for 2 years
to study the potential for Measles, Mumps and Rubella transmission in
Scotland. You will have responsibilities for modifying and developing
mathematical models for the epidemic process of these three diseases, and
using these models in the Scottish context, with a view to providing
estimates of the probability of epidemics under various vaccination
scenarios. This is a collaborative research project with the Scottish
Centre for Infection and Environmental Health (SCIEH) and you will work
closely with colleagues there. You should have a PhD or equivalent research
experience, with a background in a numerate discipline. Experience in
infectious disease epidemiology would be an advantage.
