hi
please can anyone give equation for standard error of z score corresponding to probability p estimated from N trials.
reference would also be very useful
currently, am using ˆ(p(1-p)/N) to estimate s.e(p) - asymptotically, my problem has large N
then: s.e(z) = z(corresponding to p+se(p)) - z(corresponding to p - se(p))
very dubious about this procedure
would procedure be justified for small N if one was using exact s.e. from binomial?
any help gratefully received
