Department of Social Medicine, University of Bristol
The University of Bristol Department of Social Medicine is a leading
international centre for epidemiological research, with a 5* rating in the
recent Research Assessment Exercise indicating that a majority of its
research is of international standard. As part of its continuing strategic
investment in this subject area, the University is now seeking to appoint
three new academics.
Professor of Genetic Epidemiology
You will be a world-class clinical or non-clinical genetic epidemiologist
and will collaborate with established programmes and create new research

Senior Lecturer/ Reader in Genetic Epidemiology
You will be a clinical or non-clinical genetic epidemiologist with training
and experience in epidemiological research and teaching, with a particular
focus on genetic epidemiology or statistical genetics, and a relevant
postgraduate qualification, preferably at PhD level. Salary will be up to
£68,505 for clinical appointments and up to £43,067 for non-clinical
appointments. An appropriate honorary contract with the NHS will be sought.

Lecturer in Genetic Epidemiology
You will be a clinical or non-clinical practitioner with training and
experience in epidemiology or a related discipline and some experience in
genetic epidemiology. Non-clinical candidates should hold a relevant
postgraduate qualification, preferably (but not necessarily) at PhD level.
Salary will be up to £44,810 for clinical appointments and up to £37,629
for non-clinical appointments). An appropriate honorary contract with the
