DIRECTOR, NEWCASTLE TRIALS UNIT
PROFESSORIAL APPOINTMENT
Trialists from any discipline with an international reputation and
proven record in the design and completion of multi-centre trials are
invited to apply for this newly created post. The creation of the
Newcastle Trials Unit (NTU) offers opportunities to develop a programme
of collaborative research with clinicians across the Faculty of Medical
Sciences and the NHS, with the support of experienced trialists in
health technology and implementation trials. The Director will also be
expected to encourage and maintain an active portfolio of commercial
clinical trials within the NTU.
The post is tenable for five years in the first instance. Salary is
negotiable within the professorial range.
