Statistician
The Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre (CTC) is part of the
Department of Oncology of the Royal Free and University College Medical
School at UCL. The CTC co-ordinates a large number of multi-centre national
and international clinical trials in cancer in a variety of tumour sites.
The purpose of this post is to work on planned and ongoing clinical trials,
along with the senior statistician, the director of the centre and the trial
co-ordinators. This will include involvement in the design and statistical
analyses of the trials and the writing of reports and papers for
publication.
We are looking for an enthusiastic post-graduate (M.Sc. or above) in Medical
Statistics or closely related subject. Knowledge of statistical methods of
analysis and one or more statistical analyses packages (eg. STATA, SPSS,
SAS) is essential. Previous practical experience in the design and analysis
of clinical trials and an interest in cancer would be advantageous.
Salary £21,125 - £27,339 excluding L/W (£2,134).
This post is funded for one year in the first instance.
