Dear friends,
sorry to bother with an old thing, but I guess you remember the problem to
pick from behind one of three doors e.g. a car, where as you point to the
first door, one of the other two resting doors with no car behind is
opened, and the problem then is whether to stick with the first or change
to the last. It was better obviously (?) to change since you doubled the
probability of getting the car from 1/3 to 2/3. Do anyone remember the
circumstances behind this "paradox" ? I guess I'm right that no one doubts
the solution I mention, but I'm only 4/5 sure about that. I even think a
java applet once was available ?
