PHD STUDENTSHIP IN STATISTICS OR PROBABILITY

Applications are invited for an EPSRC funded PhD studentship in the
Department of Mathematical Sciences. The studentship will be for three
years and will include full fees and a maintenance grant at the
EPSRC level for Statistics and Operational Research.
This studentship is open to UK citizens and other UK/EU residents
covered by EPSRC guidelines. Candidates will be expected to obtain at
least a II(i) honours degree in Mathematics or Statistics (or the
equivalent), or to hold such a degree.
The studentship is funded by the EPSRC Doctoral Training Account held
by the Department, and is available for students with interest in any
area of statistics or probability in which there is expertise in the
Department. The anticipated start date is October 1st 2003. Enquiries
