JUNIOR LECTURER/LECTURER IN STATISTICS
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is one of three
Departments comprising the College of Informatics and Electronics.
It offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Sciences
with specialist options in Mathematics, Statistics, Computing and
Financial Mathematics. In addition the Department is responsible
for the teaching of the mathematics, statistics and mathematical
education components of all other degree programmes in the
University.
There is also a substantial programme of postgraduate research
leading to MSc and PhD awards.
These positions are aimed to strengthen an already vibrant
statistics group within the Department. The successful candidates
will possess a record of published research and a clear commitment
to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A doctorate
is normally required together with lecturing and/or industrial
experience.
