Hi all,
Thank you in advance for your help! This may be a simple question but I do
not seem to be able to figure it out.
I have developed a logistic regression model and scored a sample
representative of the population. Then I tabulated the min and max values of
the scores for each of the deciles. Here is the table:
Probablility
Deciles Minimum Maximum Mean
1 0.099 1.000 0.396
2 0.068 0.099 0.081
3 0.054 0.068 0.060
4 0.044 0.054 0.049
5 0.037 0.044 0.040
6 0.031 0.037 0.034
7 0.026 0.031 0.029
8 0.021 0.026 0.023
9 0.014 0.021 0.018
10 0.005 0.014 0.009
Even though the values rank order well and produce a nice lift chart, they
are not dispersed well between 0 and 1. For example, in decile 1 min-max is
a lot larger than this value for other deciles. Should I be concerned? What
does this indicate? What can I do to make the distribution more evenly
spread in the {0,1] interval?
Thank you again. Regina
