POST DOCTORAL RESEARCHER: STATISTICAL MODELLING OF PESTICIDE RESIDUES
(TWO-YEAR CONTRACT)
Working within the Dietary Safety Section, on this research project you will
investigate and develop statistical models to form a quantitative
understanding of the levels of pesticides residue on crops. With significant
freedom to shape the project, you will build on existing work, by using
statistical and data mining techniques to exploit the entire Syngenta
database and solve real-world problems.
The Dietary Safety Section in Syngenta investigates the identity and amount
of chemical residues, resulting from Syngenta products, in food and animal
feed and aids rigorous assessments of their safety to define the potential
for any risk to human health. Following the consolidation of facilities at
our Jealott's Hill site, we are looking for highly qualified and

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
A relevant PhD, or equivalent, is essential, as is a first degree in a
quantitative science, mathematics or statistics. Experience with databases
and statistical modelling techniques is also a key requirement.
