Job Role & Responsibilities:
Our client who is based in Ireland is seeking a Statistician. Your role
will be responsible for the to provide statistical support to Development
Operations and business partners in the areas of process and analytical
monitoring and control. The job-holder will be the lead expert in the
design and application of statistical tools to the scientific and technical
data generated on site. The job-holder will work closely with colleagues in
Manufacturing, Quality, Validation and Engineering and will play a role in
training and education in statistical tools across the site.
Within this role you will:
* Provide statistical expertise to the analysis of data
produced on site to allow correct and effective interpretation.
* Develop tools to be used for analysis of technical data.
* Provide education and training to scientists, managers and
engineers to improve design of experiments, investigation and analyses of
production databases.
Education/Experience Requirements:
To be successful in this role you will require:
* Post-graduate qualifications in Statistics/Statistical
science
* 3-5 years experience in applying statistical tools to the
analysis of scientific and technical data. Preference for those with
experience in pharmaceuticals and particularly biopharmaceuticals.
* An understanding of the principles and application of the
GMPs to the pharmaceutical industry and particularly to the analysis of
data, process investigations and computer validation.
* Expertise in the analysis of high variability assays such as
bioassay would be a major advantage
* Expertise and 3-5 years experience with leading statistical
software packages.
* The job-holder will be a unique source of a valuable and
specific skill and expertise on the site. Therefore, we are looking for a
natural team-player and collaborator who enjoys interacting with teams and
individuals and who enjoys teaching,
* In a busy environment, where the results of statistical
analysis can be on the critical path for important decisions, the job-holder
will need to be comfortable working to tight deadlines.
* Much of the subject matter, which will require statistical
treatment, will be unfamiliar to the job-holder and an ability to learn from
colleagues and merge expertise will be critical.
* The role will involve significant verbal and written
communication and effective behaviours in these areas will be important.
* The job-holder will need to be able to construct and deliver
complex proposals on data analysis and the ability to deliver persuasive
technical presentations will be important.
