Current UK Epidemiology and Statistics
Employment Opportunities at RTI Health Solutions

Research Triangle Institute-Health Solutions (RTI-HS) is an independent
research organisation that conducts health care research and consultancy
projects for a wide range of public and private sector clients. We are
currently looking to expand our services in the UK to support a broad range
of services including; disease burden and prevalence studies, prospective
post-launch studies, database studies, randomised studies, and post-
marketing safety surveillance.

Senior Epidemiologist (DS10595)

Candidates for this position must possess the right combination of skills
and experience to successfully lead business development activities,
develop proposals, manage projects, develop staff, author and present
papers through peer-reviewed scientific journals and conferences. Ideally
candidates will have:

- A postgraduate qualification in Epidemiology or a related
discipline.
- At least 5-years experience in implementing and managing
epidemiological studies
- Experience in medication risk management, database analysis and
working with the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience from substantive fields including pharmacoepidemiology
and public health management.

Epidemiologist (DS10631)

Candidates for this position must possess the right combination of skills
and experience to conduct pharmacoepidemiological research including
disease incidence and prevalence studies, prospective post-launch drug
studies, database studies and safety surveillance studies. Responsibilities
will include assisting others in developing proposals, managing projects,
conducting literature reviews and writing reports. Ideally candidates will
have:

- A Master’s degree in Epidemiology, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in conducting systematic literature reviews, report
writing, database analysis or experience working with the pharmaceutical
industry.
- Experience from substantive fields including pharmacoepidemiology,
surveillance epidemiology survey research, public health and pharmacy.

Research Statistician (DS10624)

RTI Health Solutions is seeking an intermediate level statistician in our
UK office. The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing
analysis tasks, leading projects and developing RTI Health Solutions'
business interest in the UK.

The position involves the interpretation and preparation of study reports.
Qualified candidates will work closely with HS research staff in design and
conduct of health-related studies and evaluation. Candidate will develop
statistical programs as necessary to perform analysis, prepare data
displays and verify data accuracy and validity. Individuals must have
demonstrated, sound knowledge of major statistical software packages, e.g.
SAS, and the ability to integrate statistical and biomedical concepts.
Ideally candidates will have:

- A Master’s degree (preferably a Phd) in Statistics or Biostatistics
- 3-5 years experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- PhD preferred. Epidemiological or health economics experience a
plus.
