        Please find below details for 2 statistical / SAS permanent
opportunities. Full company details and job descriptions are available

1) We are currently looking for candidates with SAS experience and a strong
statistical background to work as part of this growing team. Candidates will
have at least some commercial experience of SAS gained through a university
placement or since graduating. This could be gained through a financial
services or pharmaceutical organisation where you have used your SAS
experience to work on a variety of projects.

The ideal candidate will have:
*       A degree in a numerate subject with a high statistics content (2:1
preferred) 
*       An excellent working knowledge of SAS as well as strong Excel
*       Strong commercial awareness
*       Excellent problem solving skills
*       Strong communication and team working skills

Working on the Analysis team, your role will include:
*       The use of mathematical and statistical techniques to extract,
analyse and manipulate data. 
*       Helping to develop scoring models
*       Involvement in the strategy of the team
*       Ad hoc analysis from all areas of the business in particular
Marketing and Credit

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and keen to learn and develop
their skills in a growing area of the business. Candidates will be strong
team players with excellent communication skills. Based in the West
Yorkshire area, the role is commutable from Leeds.

Salary is up to £20,000 and the role is also offering an attractive set of
benefits.


2) We are looking for very bright statistical candidates with superb
academic backgrounds to work for this excellent employer based in the South
Wales area. If you have a strong degree (2:1) and / or a MSc or PhD in a
Mathematical related subject with a strong statistics bias, and you also
have some experience in a risk related or marketing related role, this is
for you!

This is an urgent call for candidates with excellent academic records as
well as strong commercial experience within a financial services or
marketing environment. Based in the South Wales area, this company is going
from strength to strength and is currently looking to recruit up to 4 staff
to join their growing Risk and Marketing departments. They are looking for
superb academics with at least a 2:1 in Economics, Maths, Statistics or a
similar subject and an MSc or PhD would be very useful to the role. Other
skills in use within the department include SAS, SPSS and Business Objects
so experience of some of these is essential to the role.

Candidates will be strong communicators with excellent team skills. You will
be keen to learn and progress and will have a desire to move into
departments including Risk, Operations, Marketing and Fraud. You must have
excellent academics and the ability to learn new skills and techniques very
