I have been asked by associate to pass on the following. Thanks in advance
for any help given.

I have a dataset of 1100 temperature measures taken between 9-11 different
points spread across three rows of a particular type of aircraft. For each
row, measurements were typically made twice during a flight. There were 18
flights in all, with measurements always taken at the same points on the
same rows but not necessarily at the same times.
On half of the flights a modification was made to the aircraft to have
reduction effect on temperature variance. I would like to determine the
effectiveness of the modification.
There are a number of confounding variables (both factors and covariates) to
take into consideration when undergoing the analysis. I am considering a GLM
but am concerned that I wont be able to produce an adequate model. Does
anyone have any suggestions for what else I could do?
