Title: Random Travelling Waves for Stochastic Reaction Diffusion Equations
Speaker: Dr Huaizhong Zhao, Loughborough University
Date: Wednesday 26 February 2003 at 2.30pm
Venue: Room G.12, Maths Tower, University of Manchester
Tea: from 3:30pm at the 6th Floor of Math Tower
Abstract
In this talk, I will discuss the effect of the random noise to the
travelling wave solution of the reaction diffusion equations. I will present
the results in 3 cases: (a) weak noise, there is little effect to the propagation
of the travelling wave; (b) strong noise, the travelling wave is destroyed
completely, (c) mild noise, this is a mathematically more interesting case.
I will give the exact formula for the travelling wave front and present the
ergodic property and path-wise property of travelling wave solution.
All are welcome
