Part-funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, Health Promotion
Division (HPD), this is an excellent career development opportunity
to develop research within a successful multi-disciplinary research
group, and to gain experience of, and contribute to, public health
policy research and evaluation within the Assembly Government. The
post holder will initially provide statistical input into the
analysis and reporting of survey and trial data collected in the
course of ongoing projects within both the School of Social Sciences
and the Assembly Government. The post will also involve
methodological support to colleagues working on related projects in
the School and HPD. The post holder will be expected to play a key
role in the development of collaborative research bids.
You should have an interest in public health/health promotion/health
psychology/medical sociology combined with strong statistical skills
and the ability to write clearly, to communicate well and work
effectively in a team.
You should have a PhD or a Masters in a relevant discipline (medical
or social statistics, health psychology, health economics, medical
sociology, health services research, public health or epidemiology)
and previous relevant research experience. Appropriate high level
training will be available for suitable candidates.
This post is fixed term for 3 years.
Salary: £25451 - £33679 per annum
